I've heard it said that cleaning a house with a toddler around is like shoveling snow in blizzard. I agree and it literally takes hours to do the same task with "help" that should only take 15 minutes. The other day I decided all the toys needed to be moved out of Emma's tiny room so the crib could be set up. I began sorting toys and my piles kept disappearing (that was my helper). By the end of the afternoon I was quite proud of my accomplishments: book shelf organized, toy chest (now in the living room) with toys in it, broken or nasty toys thrown out, and unplayed-with toys disappeared to the give-away pile. I even managed to get Emma's room clean, I swept the whole house, cleaned the kitchen and the bathroom. This took me an entire 7 hours. I wish I could say I was this productive every day, but that was truly tiring. Making messes is much easier (I am just going to sit inside for awhile and watch the blizzard).

Hi Alysun, Funny that you're checking out my blog because I've been lurking on yours since I started reading Lin's :-). I love all your stories about Emma and her mischief! God bless you in these last days of pregnancy and feel free to stop by our blog anytime! Kelly
I so agree. I have two preschoolers and one toddler. I feel like a family in the Brazilian Slums could feed themselves on what I sweep of the Dining Room floor everyday.
