I love a productive weekend. Emma was feeling better, but still took a long nap on Sunday. That allowed me to get the bathroom painted (a 2 day project). Jeff put up crown moulding a few weeks ago and I finally got around to painting it. While I was at it, I changed the bathroom wall color. I went with a lighter taupe and I like it much better. Jeff worked hard on the deck all afternoon and got all the hand rails up. It looks fantastic! His phrase of the day was, "I don't think the rails are strong enough. You don't mind if there are cables from the tree, do you?" Posted by Picasa

I am waiting for pictures of your new bathroom, because, well, you are pretty much my decorating hero. Anyone who would paint a wall plaid should be held in high regard!

Exciting! Renos are a lot of work...not that we've done any yet but I remember my parents constantely working on something. The finished product is so worth it though. It's a pretty big tree...people driving by probably won't even notice the cables. :) Glad to hear that Emma is feeling better. Please give her "loves" from the three of us up here in, what I now can call the great white north. Winter finally hit. Only in our great province can winter begin in March. :) We love it though!

Emma, its so nice to see you smiling again! And you make grandma so proud that you can already clean up after yourself (bet mommy wishes you would have after your episodes last week!)

I'll bet the bathroom looks great. Your deck sure is going to be nice this summer

I love the crown molding, and whenever I think of painting I remember "re-decorating" your parents house (I don't know why I put that in quotes, we really did redecorate) :) Are you sure you wouldn't have preferred sunshine yellow?

Jeff's phrase sounds like something Dan would say!
