I called to make a 1 year old appointment for Emmaleigh this morning and this is my conversation with the receptionist at the Dr.'s office:
Me: "I would like to make a one-year check-up appointment for my daughter."
Receptionist: "What is her date of birth?"
Me: "11-9-04."
Receptionist: "And what is the appointment for?"
Me: "A one-year check-up."
Receptionist: "When does she turn one year old?"
Me: "November 9."
Receptionist: "OK, I'll make it for after her first birthday then..... So, what is her name and date of birth?"
Feel smart today!

Sounds like someone needed to put a little more focus on her phone conversation.
Just be lucky she's not the Pediatrician!
I'm sure there was something really important goping on in the office at that moment. You know how intense Spider Solitaire can be. Or perhaps she was instant messenging someone lableing all the emoticons. How unprofessional!
Or maybe her and her co-worker were in the middle of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" on-line, not that I know from personal experience or anything, but I've heard it can be very annoying to get a phone call during the $100k question. :)
