Summer Happenings...

Is everyone enduring the heat? The customary greeting, "How are you doing?" is now replaced with, "Do you have an air conditioner?" The answer to the question determines how a person is really doing.
On Saturday Emma and I joined a group from MOPS to walk in the Summer Fest Parade. It was hot, but there was a cloud cover and even some sprinkles. The tropical weather made it hard to motate, but we made it through with sweaty smiles on our faces (ok, Emma didn't smile, but she weakly waved her flower at the crowd). Afterward we went to Jeff's High School reunion at the park. 10 years!! Not much changes in 10 years; the cool people are still cool and the strange ones are just slightly stranger. One guy wore his 1996 class shirt for the occation (no, that wasn't Jeff). Thankfully it was too hot for people to break out their letterman jackets. It was fun to see old friends and their kids.
Now, on to more enduring the hot weather. AC anyone? Posted by Picasa

From what I've heard you've been getting a taste of a Virginia summer! Hee, hee, hee.... Meanwhile it's been 80ish and not as humid here..maybe the east and west have switched climates :)
