We woke up to snow Thursday morning and it was fun watching it continue to fall throughout the morning. It got a bit too warm and our deep 1/2 an inch quickly melted. Emma and I went out to play in it for awhile and had a lot of fun. I talked to my friend Amanda in Saskatchewan to catch up and found out they are having a blizard. It was -35c Wednesday and they were staying inside because it was "kinda cold." Ya, I should say so. After living in Canada for a few winters, the reaction of American West Coasters to snow is quite funny to me. A snow flake falls from the sky and people slam on their brakes, cancel school, and all network TV stations broadcast a 24hr. storm watch -- never mind that it is 4O degrees outside.
Today it is quite cold (now that all the snow is gone) and I am thankful for my warm house. Jeff is outside working today and not keeping very warm. I would love to hear about the weather where you are!

It was 19 degrees last night here and I don't know if it ever warmed up too much. I'm sorry to say my classroom never fully warmed up to the 72 degrees I have it set at. Must have been too much for the poor little heat pump to handle. There is still much snow here. The hard, crusty kind, not the snowball kind. Looking forward to keeping warm over the three day weekend.
Out here in the Smokey's we have been getting up to the low 50's all week. Now the weather is changing and it's supposed to rain for the next 6 days (except for a bit of snow on Tuesday night). The weather is okay but I miss snow.

Trust me the reaction to snow is even worse in Virginia...honestly. But it was 72 here Sunday...I'm not kidding! It's hard to be watching NFL playoffs when it's warm outside.. that midwest cold is heading our way though...
