Over the weekend, our friends, Hillary and Dan and their son, Russell, came for a visit. The definition of "fun-filled" changes a bit when working around nap time is a must, but we had a good visit. We went to the farmer's market in Independence, did a little garage saling, Dan helped Jeff on the farm, we all watched a hilarious demo movie on how to build a straw-bale home, went to church, and the beach on Sunday.
Dan and Hillary are on their way to B.C. to see Hillary's family and attend her 10 year HS reunion. We are happy that we are sort of on the way from San Fransisco for them to stop by.

It was nice for Emma to have someone to play with. Russell is 18 months and they enjoyed playing outside. The best part was playing in the sand at the beach. The weather was quite nice and no wind at Taft. Of course we ate at Mo's. I could seriously eat a couple orders of fish and chips at this point in my life. I controlled myself and even shared my meal with Emma.
