I took Mandy in for her 2 week check-up. Since we are going to be gone next week, she was a little early (only 11 days old).
I was pretty sure she was getting taller, but I was astonished to hear she gained almost a pound and grew 1 1/2 inches! It is a relief to know she is getting enough to eat after the first week of nursing problems.
Every day does get easier and Mandy stays awake a little more now. She is happy and content when she is fed. Praise the Lord!

Hope you have a great time as you get a chance to get away for awhile. Your baby is such a cutie. I can't wait to kiss & hold her! Keep enjoying your precious family. You DO have a wonderful husband! So glad you appreciate him, as he does you. Kiss Emma for me too!

your mom sent me your birth announcement and blog address. Congratulations on a beauiful baby girl. How precious your family is! God is good! Happy birthday - I guess I viewed yoru blog on the appropriate day to wish you a great day! I'll pray for you as you continue adjusting to this new person and way of life. A wise woman once shared with me with regards to the wishing for more sleep with a newborn. She said she stopped praying for more sleep and instead asked the Lord to make the sleep that she did get sufficient to function throughout the day. Hope that helps.
