Christmas morning we woke up bright and early (like every morning). Emma has changed a lot since last year and really gets into opening her presents. There were 3 under the tree for her that she's been eyeing for weeks. Tearing into the packages is half the fun. I wrapped up a certificate for swimming lessons along with her swim suit. She excitedly thought she got to go swimming right now. We tried our best to tell her it was for later, but this morning she went and got her certificate and her swim suit. The lessons start in 2 weeks and I'm sure this will be an issue every day until then. I love the wonder she expresses. I also wrapped up Kandoo wipes and she ooed and awed, "New poo things!!"
Mandy's first Christmas has been marked by taking naps while everyone parties, eating while everyone parties and smiling when she is awake and someone focuses on her for a second while on a break from the parties. She started sleeping through the night a few days before Christmas. It took a bit of work on my part, but the key seems to be "eat more, more often." Mandy loves to eat, so I feed her 7 times between 6am and 10 pm and she is happy to sleep all night! She is a sweet baby and is so fun to be around. She is very vocal and talks and talks. It's hard to imagine life without her.
