What's the story here? Since childhood, my sister has called me "Snook" (it was the most obnoxious nickname she could come up with at the time). When Jeff and I were at the wedding in Madras, we drove by this street and couldn't resist the photo op. Here is Snook on Snook Lane, Madras, OR.

I'm so glad they finally recognized that you were worthy of signage! And Snook is a perfectly reasonable nick name. I would never select a name based on its obnoxiousnes! Oh wait. Yes I would! I still can't beklieve it stuck.
That's excellent!
Way to take one for the team! (you know standing on the side of the road to pose for what must seam a ridiculous picture to all passers by, but will go down in history in your own photo album) The famous "welcome to Oregon" sign or "Route 66", what must be done, must be done.
You look fabulous, my dear!
So good to see that they named a lane after you. There weren't any warning signs for orange eyed albino elk were there?
