It is my sister's birthday today. She is 25 this year. She was 25 last year, the year before that and the year before that also. It is strange since I am 25 -- I worked all my life to catch up with her and now I have!
As a child I was sure having a birthday so close to Christmas was the best thing ever! At all the holiday celebrations we would open gifts and when we were all done, family and friends would bring out more for Andrea. They would say things like, "Oh, here is a little something extra since it was your birthday." It just wasn't fair.
Now that I've matured a little and "the more the better" is not my Christmas present philosophy, I understand a Christmas-time birthday is the pits! She never got her own party and many people forgot her birthday all together. We were all so caught up in festivities that we forgot to sing her "Happy Birthday" -- it is no wonder she is still 25 after all these years.

Thanks for understanding, Snook. And look at it this way, from here on out, you can be the big sister. Won't that be fun? And in ten more year's, Paul's wife will be twenty years younger than him! Now that's a lucky guy.
