Paradise undeserved

We left Monday for California. We drove out of rainy Oregon and drove 9 hours to Napa Valley to Windsor where we met up with friends, Dan, Hillary and Russell. It was beautiful weather and we enjoyed swimming at the resort pool, touring a winery, shopping, talking, great food, and movies.

On the drive over we stopped near Shasta Lake for lunch. Emma did great in the car and Jeff and I both agreed that an all day car ride is a cake-walk compared to flying to Africa. The weather was warm and breezy with no snow in sight over the pass.
