I think he is wearing a skin colored shirt...

What a day we had on Sunday. Jeff taught Sunday school for the Jr. High (this is a full-time gig now) and I sat in awe that he has such patience. They are a rowdy group and the scripture we are supposed to teach is difficult to break down in a non-snoozing manner. So, after church we went home to get lunch ready for friends who came over. We visited with them, Emma played with their son, and we all had a nice time. After they left, Jeff and I thought we should go to Wal-mart to buy some mini-blinds, print cartridges, and diaper wipes. First, Jeff had to feed cows and we all trudged over to the barn. We were heading home when a beat-up pick-up came cruising up the drive. Out jumps a large, shirt-less man with a pink and blue tattoo on his arm and a long scar in the middle of his white, hairy chest. It turns out that Mr. warm-blooded was interested in an old Chevy that was parked at the barn. When he left, I remarked that I would hate to see what he wore when it was actually hot outside.
Back to getting to Wal-mart: I was quite sure a friend of mine said that there was a new Super WM in Philomath, just a 25 minute drive away. How hard could a Super WM be to find? We drove to Philomath, through Philomath, and back again.... nothing. We went back to Corvallis and ate at Wendy's and asked the cashier. Oh, there isn't a WM in Philomath, but there is one in Lebanon. After weighing our options, we decided to drive to Lebanon.... we always love an adventure. Another 25 minutes down the road we found it and you really can't miss a Super WM. We got all of our things, along with some insulated bright pink boots for next winter for Emma and we were back on the road.... 45 minutes to home. It was at this point we discussed how South Salem, NE Salem, McMinnville, not to mention Dallas, all would have been far closer than Lebanon, OR to go to Wal-mart. Lesson learned, adventure had, day closed.

Some days are like that. Ive been known to encourage a 2 1/2 hr drive to a super walmart to save 8.4% sales tax (and see the grandkids while were in the neighborhood)

Ah, the draw of Super Wal-mart. It has it's own gravitational pull, I think.

Thanks mom, that makes me feel much better about our 45 minute drive.

Boy, I sure can't wait for Dallas to get their Super Walmart! Haven't heard anything about it lately. Last I heard was they might put it in Rickreall of all places! Then it would take me 15 minutes to get there instead of only 5! Aunt Marci
