We originally decided when the time came to find out the gender of our baby, we didn't want to know. Well, I had my ultrasound today and we now know we are having a baby girl. It is a lot easier knowing the gender before hand and it is a surprise now or later. We'll wait to share the baby's name until she is born.
Both Jeff and I had convinced ourselves I was carrying a boy -- I even picked up 2 huge sacks full of baby boy clothes yesterday at the MOPS clothes swap. I was pretty shocked when the ulta-sound tech said, "You are looking at your baby girl." It was an awesome experience to see our tiny baby wiggle and move on the screen. I already feel such love for this child.
The plusses to having a girl are that our girls can share a room for longer, I can use Emma's many girl clothes again, Emma has someone she will get/have to share her throne with (she is quite spoiled as the only girl on both sides of the family), and Jeff and I don't have to figure out a boy's name (we would have a really hard time with that!). God knows what He is doing and we are so blessed!

Another plus, Aunt Andee gets to shop for pink!! Congratulations. And if you need to do anything with that boy stuff you picked up...
Yipee! You make beautiful girls and I am so happy for you. How exciting to be able to plan and dream for this new sweet little girl.
And with all the boys born recently in your circle, it was time for a girl, don't ya think? :)
But that means my dream was wrong! Oh well, I can't get over baby sized dresses anyway. It's so exciting that you know that another girl is going to enter your lives (on my birthday *cross fingers*)
Congrats! Finally Emma will have some female company with all those boy cousins. Double trouble, I'm sure!
Ooooh! Congrats!
PS - I'll be at Andee's shower unless my sister is in labor. So many babies lately! Is there something in the water supply?
Congrat's! I think it is great having two girls... they will be the best of friends just like you and your sister are. You are so very lucky!
