Jeff's Sunday project was to build a tower for Emma's swing-set. It was a cold, windy day, but Emma stayed outside and helped. We are still in need of a slide, but the tower is complete and ready for play.
So far, we've spent only $16 on the swing set (for chain) using recylced lumber. The problem with the slide is that it costs real money. A plastic one is over $100 and steel is about $300. Jeff thinks he can find an old rusty one on the farm and refinish it (for free of course). We'll see what happens. For now, Emma is happy with her "house" with a ladder.

That is so cool it has basically cost you nothing! It looks great! Can't wait for the slide update :)
It looks great! Emma is a great helper. If I hear of a sweet deal on a slide I'll pick one up for you. :) Okay, so maybe shipping would be a bit pricey.
Oh, I wish I had read this earlier. I went to a garage sale last week and they were giving away an old, cruddy swing set. The slide was just about the only thing that wasn't totally useless. Keep an eye out for old swing sets!
Oh, and can your husband PLEASE come over to my house and build me a swing set? This one is SO awesome. Seriously. Send him over.
