It is really easy for Christians to sit in front of the computer and get fired up about this or that forward, send it to all our Christian friends and say, "Stay away from Oprah!" She does some interesting make-over shows, but I am not deceived that she is a Christian. I do not watch her online classes. Do you think it is good for believers to be aware of what it being said in the main stream media about God/god? Does it give us a better understanding about the fight we are up against or are any of us fighting (forwarding emails don't count)? When I hear things like this, I pray that God will keep me from being deceived by false teachers and keep my heart true. All Scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work (II Tim 3:16). We must continue to go back to God's Word, be amerced in it, memorize it. Check out Andrea's fantastic piece on drinking in God's word on the Attic.

I like your new blog! I never cease to be amazed at how quickly the world blindly accepts Oprah's feel good gospel. I do admire the way she uses her influence, and if I had the same influence I would certainly use it to spread my own views, though I doubt they would be as well recieved! I think your conclusion is correct - be in the Word.
Very nice new layout! Do you have a link to the viedo? I've overheard people talking about something about Oprah and her cult, but don't really know what the deal is. I know that my Grandma goes weekly to an Oprah taught book club via satallite and from what she tells me it sounds very Babalonian.
