A $5 bike

I love a good deal. On Friday I went to a community garage sale to benefit a little boy who has cancer in our community. The sale was at a church and was hopping with people. I arrived about 15 minutes after the sale started and had to push my way into the building, along with Emma pushing Mandy in the stroller. Almost all the furniture was already sold, but I bought a plastic patio table for $5. Our old plastic patio table has a giant hole in it from a wind storm last summer, so the new table saved me about $25 retail. Inside, I found a little wooden puzzle for Emma and a push trike for Mandy, $1 each. I also bought a collapsible clothes basket for $1 because, who doesn't need a collapsible clothes basket for $1? I'm sure there were many more deals in the clothes and household items, but I simply could not get to them with all the people and my own entourage.

On my way out, I was loading my table in the back of my oh, so practical minivan, when I stumbled upon a small bike. It isn't the prettiest thing, but it was only $5, complete with nice, sturdy training wheels. It took Emma about 5 minutes to figure it out since she already has a trike, but now has a blast riding up and down the driveway. And here is a video for your viewing pleasure. She hasn't quite mastered stopping. Hope the garage door survives.
