black berries in my back yard...

One of my favorite things in the summer time is picking black berries.

Emma also enjoys black berries, but she would prefer that I pick them and then give them to her. She was being a bit of a pain on our outing because the berries were not being presented to her fast enough. Rough life.

Our "back yard" is full of beautiful berries -- meaning the country-side around our house. The best part is, they are free! Posted by Picasa

Emma has discovered that blackberries aren't as easy to pick as Raspberries, to bad since I prefer them if they are nice and ripe. Pretty pictures. Gotta get to work

I'm a little (well, a lot) jealous... it would cost me $3 for a little 11oz container of berries. I morally can't pay that when I know they are growing on the side of the roads for free;-)

Emma w/ blackberries looks strangely familiar to Emma in lipstick :) And boy do I miss that view of the Willamette Valley! Ok, so the Shenandoah Valley isn't bad either, but the WV is home! :)

It looks like Emmaleigh has figured out my favorite part of berries in the summer. Picking is fun, but mostly because of the end result.
