Newborns...

I'm not quite sure who Mandy looks like, although most of my family members think she looks a lot like my baby pictures. Mandy doesn't really look like Emma, but I thought I would put some pictures up of both of the girls at 2 days old. Emma has really gone through an extream makeoever with her light skin, blond hair, and bright blue eys. It will be fun watching Mandy grow and change as well.
My birthday was yesterday. I wasn't expecting much since I am a full-time milking machine, have no clothes that fit properly, and am still sore in all the wrong places. Jeff made me breakfast in bed (I ate while feeding Mandy) and then Emma gave me her gift. She picked out a candle that smells like her favorite food, apple pie, and some cookies that she also enjoys. Jeff took Emma for a walk and I went back to bed to sleep -- oh, blessed sleep. For lunch, I darted out of the house on my first solo mission. I bought a pizza without a coupon at Papa Murphies and took it home to enjoy with the crew. I got an afternoon nap and enjoyed Jeff being home when I woke up to again help me with the girls. We plan more lazing around while we recoup at Eagle Crest tomorrow.
This is the exciting life of a mommy with a newborn. Nothing is harder or more sweet.
