We took a "quick" trip to the middle of nowhere, rural farm country yesterday to visit some family. It was a lovely day, a nice break, and a field trip kind of thing. I always learn so much on our trips there, but usually we are there in the Fall, not in the summer. I loved seeing their crops. I am not sure what has happened to me over the years that I now find the crops in different parts of the country fascinating; maybe I'll be a farm girl someday after all. I am working on a post about pivots, alfalfa, and an unusual sights called "Hole in the Ground" (not to be confused with the other nearby popular attraction of "Crack in the Ground").

Sorry to those of you who opened my blog in the last week and were met with just pictures, no words. As fabulous as the templates are from Cutest Blog on the Block, clearly, I can't use them. Too bad. I'll think of something to jazz things up around here soon.
