A friend recently told me that she came up with the name for our son. She said she thought of it when she was nearly asleep one night and it was perfect: Ruger. I really love entertaining baby name ideas, although I am pretty sure that Ruger isn't quite what we have in mind for our son.

I love making birth announcements. It is a guilty pleasure these days -- sugar free and high protein (or so I tell myself). Another friend had a digital scrapbooking kit on her blog and I fell in love, so I bought it and designed a birth announcement for our little Ruger. This kit was only $1.99 and I can use the elements and papers over and over again. Digital scrapbooking is really fantastically fun; the best part being that I can do it without my children helping themselves to my craft supplies. Check out some inspiring digital papers and accessories at thedigichick.com

And now for Ruger's birth announcement:

I picked up a free font from dafont.com called, Jane Austin. I am a little smitten if you can't tell. :)

I love the boy themed scrapbooking kits that Kelleigh posted, they were fantastic! Cute birth announcement, I confess to making up several before both my kiddos were born. They're so much fun!

Hi- I am a friend of Lindsay and enjoy reading your blog. (I am part of the food love blog, too.)
Anyway, those announcements are super cute. Probably a dumb question, but can you have them printed to send? :)
