Thank You Russell

Indulging in sugar free treats makes my day. I try to limit my sweet treats to 1 a day, since aspertain and other sugar free alternatives aren't healthy for me. All the chemical alterations can't be fantastic for my body even if they taste good and improve my mood. Some of my favorites that I am thankful for in my sugar-free life:

  • Russell Stover dark chocolates
  • Bryers no-sugar added ice cream
  • Dutch Brothers sugar-free iced drinks like Snickers, Almond Joy, and Dutch Mocha
  • Sugar-free Jello pudding
  • Stevia powder, just made a Rhubarb Crisp and it was deliciously sugar free!
  • Sprite Zero
  • Diet Cherry Coke

Have I missed any sweet sugar free treats that you would recommend?

Ugh. Sugar-free foods are not even allowed in our house. =) I'm glad I didn't have to cut sugar out of my diet when I was pregnant - you poor dear!

There are a number of very good whole fruit, sugar free popsicles out there. Both Dreyers and Breyers make one. They are expensive but we buy them anyway.

I can't think of anything at the moment, but I know I will be looking for the sugar free iced drink called Snickers! Sounds yummy. The one thing I loved when I was pregnant that helped me with the nausea was Jolly Ranchers. They make them sugar free. You are right about limiting the sugar free candy because some of it can have the same yucky effect as too many cherries or prunes! (Depending on what the sweetner is). I can't have too much chocolate around or I eat it ALL, but at least with Jolly Ranchers, there is a limit to how much can be consumed in one sitting!

I am glad the stevia is working for you! I liked what you said about the right amount or it being bitter. I was going to have Rick change for his coffee as he is using Splenda right now but that was a good warning to be aware of.

Sugar-free popsicles!! I love my box in the freezer. Much less calories than B&J's... although not always so satisfying.

I'll have to try some of these...we don't usually buy sugar-free, but I'm willing to give it a try to be a little healthier!

Im not a stevia lover which is a bummer cause it's a good alternative, it's the aftertaste that gets me... my newfound favorite is blue agave nectar- we get it at traderjoes, no aftertaste that I can tell, a great sugar sub!
