Jamin Update

Psalm 8

"O Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory above the heavens.

Out of the mouth of babies and infants,
you have established strength because of your foes,
to still the enemy and the avenger.

When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
what is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him?

O Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!"

We visited Jamin yesterday and saw such marked improvement. Thursday he was completely sedated and was being ventilated. It seemed like he had so far to go, but was getting better steadily. God's power shocked my socks off when I saw Kelly was holding him when I walked into the room yesterday! Jamin is off the ventilator and breathing on his own with help from oxygen pumped through his nose. He is also peeing, pooping, and crying (I never realized what a blessing those things could be). God is gracious and I am so thankful for Jamin's progress. Please continue to pray with us for Jamin.
  • that he will learn to suck on a bottle and then be able to breast feed
  • that his lungs continue to strengthen and be completely healthy
  • that he will no longer need extra oxygen through his nose
  • that he will soon be able to come home with no complications
  • for his brain function, that he will suffer no side effects from this ordeal
  • for patience and peace for John and Kelly

He actually isn't totally breathing on his own, but closer than he was for sure!!! He needs 2 liters of 24% oxygen pressue to flow through his nose tube.

That's awesome! God is so good. Those pictures of Kelly being able to touch him brought tears to my eyes. I can't even imagine what she's had to go through, I am just so grateful to the Lord for answered prayers. I will continue to pray....

My eyes are filled with tears of joy as I have followed Jamin's birth and recovery. I am new to praying and will do the best I know how. What a miracle we are witnessing.
